Chandler Hoffman named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Team

Los Angeles, Calif. - Junior forward Chandler Hoffman has been named to the Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, as announced by the organization today. Chandler is the first Bruin to receive CoSIDA All-Academic honors since Zach Wells in 2003 and is just the third UCLA player overall to be named to the team.

Hoffman has had a great season for the Bruins both on and off the field. On the field, he leads the Pac-12 in goals (18), points (40), goals per game (0.82) and points per game (1.82). He has started in every game this season and has the most goals by a UCLA player in a single season since Joe-Max Moore had 18 in 1991. Chandler was also named First-Team All-Pac-12 season. Off the field, Chandler has a 3.74 GPA as a Communication Studies major and made the First-Team Pac-10 All-Academic squad in 2010 and 2011.

To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution.
