Tulsa, Okla. - UCLA senior men's tennis player Chris Surapol won his final round of qualifying Wednesday to earn a spot in the main singles draw of this week's Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center at the University of Tulsa.
Surapol qualified with a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Luis Diaz Barriga of Texas. After being down 1-6, 0-4, he won 12 of the final 13 games of the match to earn the victory. Surapol began the week with wins over Clemson's Jarmaine Jenkins and Georgia State's Martin Stiegwardt.
Awaiting Surapol in Thursday's opening round will be Yale's Brandon Wai.
