Women's T&F To Compete At Two Meets This Weekend

The women's track and field team will continue the outdoor this weekend with competitions at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut and the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa. Competition at the Mt. SAC Relays begins Thursday and runs through Saturday, while the Bryan Clay meet will be on Friday.

With just over two weeks left before the showdown with crosstown rival USC, the women will be resting several athletes this weekend. Some that will be in action this weekend include vaulters Tori Anthony and Allison Koressel, as well as several jumpers and distance runners.

The women currently have eight athletes and one relay ranked in the NCAA top 25. Below is a list of ranked athletes and their events/marks.

  • 400m - Turquoise Thompson, 10th (53.13); Joy Eaton, 16th (53.58)
  • 100m Hurdles - Lindsay Rowe, 23rd (13.34)
  • 400m Hurdles - Turquoise Thompson, 3rd (56.73)
  • 4x400m Relay - Eaton, McLaughlin, Rowe, Thompson (3:36.72)
  • Pole Vault - Tori Anthony, 13thT (13-7.25); Allison Koressel, 16thT (13-5.25)
  • Hammer - Ida Storm, 8th (204-2)
  • Heptathlon - Tatum Souza, 24th (4927 points)
