Each week, uclabruins.com will update and highlight select UCLA players' progress during the current MLS season. Games highlighted are from May 21-27. The Bruins lead all universities with 23 alumni in MLS.

Chad Barrett (Los Angeles Galaxy; Years played at UCLA: 2003-04)
Barrett played the full 90 minutes and registered an assist on the game's first goal in the third minute, but the Galaxy fell to San Jose, 3-2, on May 23. The Galaxy held a 2-0 lead through 73 minutes but gave up three unanswered goals while playing down a man for most of the second half. In the Galaxy's 2-1 loss at Houston on May 26, Barrett again had an assist early in the game (10th minute) to give LA the lead, but an own goal in the 38th minute tied the game, and Houston scored the game-winner in the 57th minute. Barrett, who now ranks second on the Galaxy in assists with three, started and played 71 minutes in the contest.

David Estrada (Seattle Sounders FC; Years played at UCLA: 2006-09)
Estrada scored his team-best fifth goal of the season in a 1-1 tie at Chivas USA. His goal tied up the match just four minutes after Chivas USA took a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute. Estrada played 78 minutes and had three shots, two on goal, and was named the MLSsoccer.com Man of the Match. On May 23, he played 78 minutes in a 2-0 loss to Columbus and set up two scoring opportunities that were denied.
Sounders record: 7-3-3, 24 points, 3rd place in Western Conference

Estrada's 2012 MLS season stats: 13GP/12GS, 991 minutes, 5 goals, 23 shots, 10 SOG, 2 GWG

Benny Feilhaber (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 2003-04)
Feilhaber started and played 90 minutes at midfielder in the Revolution's 3-2 loss at DC United on May 26. He had a shot saved in the 47th minute that would have given New England a 2-1 lead.
Revolution record: 4-7-1, 13 points, 7th place in Eastern Conference
This week's Revolution schedule: May 29 - at Harrisburg City Islanders (U.S. Open Cup); June 2 - vs. Chicago Fire
Feilhaber's 2012 MLS season stats: 9GP/7GS, 668 minutes, 17 shots, 7 SOG

Kevin Hartman (FC Dallas; Years played at UCLA: 1995-96)
Hartman made three saves in FC Dallas' 3-2 loss at Real Salt Lake on May 26. He faced 16 total shots and pushed his save total to 40 on the year, which ranks fifth in the league. Hartman had four saves in a 2-1 loss at Chicago on May 23, facing 15 shots, including six on target.

Hartman's 2012 MLS season stats: 11GP/11GS, 990 minutes, 40 saves, 19 GA, 1.73 GAA

Chance Myers (Sporting Kansas City; Years played at UCLA: 2006-07)
Myers helped set up the game-winning goal in Kansas City's 2-1 win over San Jose on May 27, recording his third assist of the season. He started and played all 90 minutes to maintain his streak of playing in every minute of every game this season.
Sporting Kansas City record: 8-3-1, 25 points, 3rd place in Eastern Conference

Myers's 2012 MLS season stats: 12GP/12GS, 1080 minutes, 3 assists, 9 shots, 1 SOG

Brian Perk (Los Angeles Galaxy; Years played at UCLA: 2006-09)
Perk made his third consecutive start for the Galaxy in the team's 3-2 loss to San Jose on May 23. He had two saves in the contest, and all three of the goals he allowed came as the Galaxy were playing a man down. Perk started again in the team's 2-1 loss at Houston on May 26. He had two saves and allowed two goals, one of which was an own goal.
Galaxy record: 3-8-2, 11 points, 9th place in Western Conference

Perk's 2012 MLS season stats: 4GP/4GS, 360 minutes, 7 saves, 7 GA, 1.75 GAA

Matt Reis (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 1994-97)
Reis made one save and allowed three goals in New England's 3-2 loss at DC United on May 26. Reis faced nine shots, four of which were on target, in the contest. He has now made 39 saves on the season, which ranks seventh in the league. His goals against average of 1.50 ranks ninth.
Revolution record: 4-7-1, 13 points, 7th place in Eastern Conference
This week's Revolution schedule: May 29 - at Harrisburg City Islanders (U.S. Open Cup); June 2 - vs. Chicago Fire
Reis's 2012 MLS season stats: 12GP/12GS, 1080 minutes, 39 saves, 18 GA, 1.50 GAA

Andy Rose (Seattle Sounders FC; Years played at UCLA: 2008-11)
Rose started and played all 90 minutes in a 1-1 tie on the road against Chivas USA on May 26. He had two shots, and one shot on goal. In the 90th minute, he had a chance at the game-winner, but his right-footed shot outside the box was blocked by a Chivas defender. On May 23, Rose played 12 minutes off the bench in a 2-0 loss to Columbus.
Sounders record: 7-3-3, 24 points, 3rd place in Western Conference

Rose's 2012 MLS season stats: 6GP/4GS, 388 minutes, 1 assist, 6 shots, 1 SOG

Kelyn Rowe (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 2010-11)
Rowe was active in his 25 minutes of play at DC United on May 26, recording two shots on goal in a 3-2 loss. He had a shot from outside the box saved in the 89th minute and a header in the box saved in the 90th.
Revolution record: 4-7-1, 13 points, 7th place in Eastern Conference

Rowe's 2012 MLS season stats: 9GP/8GS, 624 minutes, 16 shots, 11 SOG

Michael Stephens (Los Angeles Galaxy; Years played at UCLA: 2006-09)
Stephens came off the bench after halftime and played 45 minutes in the Galaxy's 2-1 loss at Houston on May 26 and played five minutes in the 3-2 loss against San Jose on May 23.

Stephens' 2012 MLS season stats: 8GP/2GS, 253 minutes

Peter Vagenas (Chivas USA; Years played at UCLA: 1996-99)
Vagenas made his fifth start of the season and recorded an assist in Chivas USA's 1-1 tie against Seattle. He played all 90 minutes of the contest and was selected as one of three Men of the Match by MLSsoccer.com.
Chivas USA record: 4-6-3, 13 points, 6th place in Western Conference
