Final Stats

A first-half goal by David Estrada and an own goal that benefited the Bruins gave UCLA a 2-1 victory at San Diego State. The win was UCLA's fourth consecutive, and it put UCLA into a tie for first place in the Pac-10 with Stanford.

Estrada put UCLA ahead 1-0 at 33:16 when he found himself open in front of the goal after receiving a cross from Sal Zizzo. Estrada put away the ball for his third goal of the season and second in as many games.

San Diego State received a blow in the 42nd minute when Raul Bautista, the reigning Pac-10 Player of the Week, received his second yellow card and was ejected from the game, forcing the Aztecs to play a man down for the rest of the match.

The Bruins benefited from an Aztec miscue at 51:34 when offensive pressure from Kiel McClung and Kyle Nakazawa forced an own goal that gave UCLA the 2-0 lead. San Diego State closed to within one at 55:15 on a goal from Andrew DiCicco, but the Bruins held on for the win.

UCLA goalkeeper Eric Reed made four saves while earning the victory. San Diego State's Tally Hall had six saves in the loss.

The Bruins' record improves to 8-3-2, 3-1-1 in the Pac-10. With 10 points, UCLA is tied for first place in the Pac-10 with Stanford.
