UCLA defender Lucretia Lee was named the Pac-12 Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for October 15-21.

Lee, a senior from Bothell, WA, scored her first career goal and played every minute while anchoring a back line that allowed just six total shots in wins over Colorado and Utah. She scored in the 42nd minute against Colorado to give the Bruins a 1-0 halftime lead and helped hold the Buffaloes to just four shots in Friday's 2-1 victory. On Sunday, in a 2-0 win over win over Utah, she broke up a breakaway chance in the 31st minute and shut down a subsequent scoring opportunity in the 35th minute. The Bruins have earned 10 shutouts in 16 games this season, and their 0.36 goals against average leads the nation.

Stanford forward Courtney Verloo received Offensive Player of the Week honors.

This is the first weekly honor for Lee, who is UCLA's 35th all-time Player of the Week. The Bruins have totaled six Player of the Week honors this season.
