The UCLA swimmers and divers will both be in action this weekend as the swimmers head to Federal Way, WA for the USA Short Course National Championships and the divers head to Austin, TX for the Texas Invitational.
All four divers will travel to Austin as junior Karina Silva leads the way with two Zone meet qualifiers. Also competing are junior Laura Winn and freshmen Michelle Vale and Maggy Boyd. The meet features Texas, Arizona, Auburn, Wisconsin, North Texas and Wyoming; UCLA, California, Hawaii, SMU, New Mexico and TCU will compete in diving only.
The Texas Invite runs Thursday through Saturday. Three-meter will be held on Thursday with prelims beginning at 12:45 pm and finals starting at 4:15 pm. On Friday, 1M prelims will begin at 10:30 am, while finals follow at 3:15 pm. There will be no prelims for the tower event and that competition gets underway at 10:30 am on Saturday.
