Klosterman, this week's AVCA National Player of the Week, recorded a career-high of 31 kills and 35 points against Cal State Northridge in a three-game sweep on Feb. 21. His line of 31-1-45 (.667) is one of the best in collegiate history. Klosterman also added two aces and four block assists. At one point in the match, he slammed 22 consecutive kills without an error. On Feb. 23 against third-ranked UC Santa Barbara, he posted 23 kills (23-7-51; .314), one ace, seven digs and two block assists for 25 points as the Bruins won in four. For the weekend, he totaled 54 kills (54-8-96; .479), three aces, 10 digs and six total blocks for 60 points. His average of 8.6 kills per game in two matches was double his season average. Klosterman now has 1,271 career kills, which rank first in the UCLA rally-scoring era and fifth all-time.
This is Klosterman's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and third of his career.
