LOS ANGELES - UCLA's baseball team continues its fall workouts at Jackie Robinson Stadium through the week of Nov. 14-18 with the annual Blue-Gold World Series. The Bruins played a six-inning intersquad scrimmage the afternoon on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

The schedule for the upcoming Blue-Gold World Series has not been finalized. The team's fall workouts began Monday, Oct. 3.

UCLA opens its 2012 season with a three-game series at home versus Maryland on Friday, Feb. 17.

Former UCLA right-handed pitchers Charles Brewer and Gerrit Cole have been selected to pitch in the Arizona Fall League's Rising Stars Game on Saturday, Nov. 5. The game will be televised live on MLB Network and mlb.com at 4 p.m. (PT) from Surprise, Ariz.

Brewer was a 12th round draft selection by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2009 after competing for the Bruins from 2007-09.

Cole was the first overall draft pick in 2011, being selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Cole starred in UCLA's starting rotation from 2009-11.
