Nine Bruin swimmers will begin competition on Thursday at the Short Course National Championships in Atlanta, GA in the final meet of the 2007 portion of their schedule. The three-day meet will be contested like the Pac-10 or NCAA Championships, giving the competitors needed experience in the championship format.

On Sunday, athletes who have qualified from the Short Course meet, will compete in the Long Course Championships in a bonus competition.

Heading to Georgia are senior Chiemi Yamamoto, juniors Anna Poteete and Madeleine Stanton, sophomore Isabell Fischer and freshmen Emily Bibb, Lauren Hall, Carly Lyons, Dani Milligan and Sam Vanden Berge.

Former Bruins Kim Vandenberg will also compete in Georgia this weekend.

Senior Nicolette Teo and 2007 graduate Luisa Los-Santos will both head to Korat, Thialand for the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) where Teo will represent Singapore and Los-Santos Malaysia December 7-11.
