Anna Li to Compete at Secret U.S. Classic May 26

UCLA alumna Anna Li will compete at the 2012 Secret U.S. Classic, which takes place Saturday, May 26 at 5 pm CT at the UIC Pavilion on the University of Illinois-Chicago campus. The meet will be broadcast live on Universal Sports, as well as on

Li is an Aurora, Ill. native who trains at Legacy Elite Gymnastics under her coaches and parents Jiani Wu and Yuejiu Li. She was an alternate on the gold medal-winning 2011 World Championship squad and a bronze medalist on uneven bars at the 2011 Visa National Championships. Li will begin the competition on her signature event, uneven bars.

An eight-time All-American at UCLA from 2007-10, Li led the Bruins to the NCAA Championship her senior season. She scored perfect 10s on uneven bars at the 2010 Pac-10 Championships and 2010 NCAA Regionals and set additional career-highs of 9.95 on vault and floor exercise and 39.65 in the all-around in 2010. She totaled six NCAA Regional individual titles and three Pac-10 individual titles in her career.

The 2012 Secret U.S. Classic will feature nine current and former World Championships gold medalists, including reigning World all-around champion Jordyn Wieber.
