The No. 2/No. 3 (Golfweek/Golfstat) ranked UCLA women's golf team ended round two of the PING/ASU Invitational in a tie for first place with the USC Trojans.
The Bruins recorded a second round score of 289 (+1), giving them a tournament score of 565 (-11). USC shot a 284 (-4) for the second round to finish tied for the lead with the Bruins. Texas is in third place at 573 (-3) while Arizona ended up in 4th at 576 (E). California is currently in fifth with a score of 581 (+5).
Individually, junior Stephanie Kono shot a second round 69 (-3) to move into a tie for first with Texas's Madison Pressel at 139 (-5). Sophomore Tiffany Lua is two shots back of the leaders at 141 (-3) after shooting a second round 74 (+2). She currently sits alone in fifth place. Freshman Ani Gulugian is in a tie for sixth place, just three strokes back after she posted a 72 (E) to give her an overall score of 142 (-2). Sophomore Lee Lopez shot 74 (+2) for her round to end up in a tie for 10th place at 143 (-1). Finally, senior Glory Yang shot a 75 (+3) to give her a total of 147 (+3), good for a tie for 23rd place.
