UCLA's nationally ranked women's golf team prepares to participate in the 10th annual Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt University at the Legends Club in Franklin, TN.
The Legends Club will play to a par of 72 over 6,281 yards beginning on Fri., Sept. 24 through Sun., Sept. 26. UCLA has a solid history of success at this golf course, capturing team titles in 2007 and '08 and recording three runner-up finishes. In addition, the Bruins have produced one individual champion in Sydnee Michaels (2008).
This weekend the Bruins will make one lineup change from their previous appearance. Junior Brianna Do will make her first start of the season in place of senior Glory Yang. Last season Do earned 2nd Team All-Pac-10 honors after trimming more than three strokes off her freshman scoring average.
The rest of the lineup remains intact from the Fall Preview: junior Stephanie Kono, sophomores Lee Lopez and Tiffany Lua and freshman Ani Gulugian. Kono and Lopez were both under par and recorded Top 20 finishes at the Fall Preview.
