Senior middle blocker Nana Meriwether (Potomac, Md./Sidwell Friends HS) of the UCLA women's volleyball team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week (Dec. 4-10).
Meriwether was selected the Tournament MVP at the Hawaii Regional after leading UCLA to a pair of wins that advanced the Bruins to the NCAA Women's Volleyball Final Four for the first time since 1994.
The Bruins swept Oklahoma and host Hawaii to become the only Final Four team to not lose a game in any of their tournament matches so far. Meriwether dominated in the win over Oklahoma, hitting .708, the fourth-best attack percentage in school history (minimum 20 attacks), with 17 kills, eight blocks and six digs.
