The fourth-ranked UCLA men's golf team will be in action at two tournaments next week. Beginning Mar. 24 at The Golf Club of Georgia, the Bruins will tee it up at the U.S. Collegiate Championship, hosted by Georgia Tech.
On Fri., Mar. 28, the Bruins will compete in a dual match against Coastal Carolina at TPC Myrtle Beach.
The Golf Club of Georgia will play to a par of 72 over 7,107 yards. Last season, the Bruins finished second.
The field for the U.S. Collegiate Championship includes 15 of the nation's top teams. No. 2 Georgia, No 3 Charlotte, No. 4 UCLA, No. 5 Oklahoma State and No. 6 USC are five of the nationally-ranked teams highlighting the field.
All 12 of the nation's top dozen players will be competing, including No. 1 Rickie Fowler of Oklahoma State, No. 2 Michael Thompson of Alabama, No. 3 Chesson Hadley of Georgia Tech an fourth-ranked Kevin Chappell of UCLA. In addition, USC's Jamie Lovemark, the defending NCAA medalist, will be competing.
Following the tournament, the Bruins will meet No. 38 Coastal Carolina in a dual match.
