UCLA Athletics Unveils Virtual Venue Site for New Pauley Pavilion

April 11, 2011

LOS ANGELES -

UCLA Bruins Virtual Venue

UCLA Athletics is excited to announce the launch of the Virtual Venue™ site for new Pauley Pavilion. It is located here on UCLA's Official Athletic Website and can be accessed by clicking on the link provided above. To view the Virtual Venue site, your computer must be equipped with the Flash Player, and a high-speed internet connection is required.

Virtual Venue™ is cutting edge technology that allows Bruin fans to use their computers to view a virtual interior of New Pauley. The Virtual Venue™ digital platform is the most accurate and engaging online experience for customer engagement and fan interaction. Virtual Venue™ technology provides state-of-the-art interactive technology with immersive 3D views. The platform is designed openly to integrate with online or offline marketing and promotional campaigns, social media, ad serving technology, sponsorship opportunities, ticketing systems, and season ticket relocation.

IOMEDIA exclusively integrates the Virtual Venue's consumer friendly visual front-end with Ticketmaster's sophisticated ticketing management back-end. This provides an industry-first solution that benefits both fans and ownership with a seamless ticketing experience. The Virtual Venue™ technology is always evolving with new features and is exclusively developed and provided by IOMEDIA, Inc. as a next generation online destination for consumers everywhere.

IOMEDIA is one of just four finalists in the sports technology category of the prestigious Sports Business Awards, presented by Sports Business Journal.

When fans visit the site, they will have the ability to click on any seat in any section and have a 360-degree view of Pauley's interior from that seat location. Clicking on a seat location will also give the fan the ticket price for that seat, as well as the annual donation required to purchase the seat, if applicable.

Virtual Venue™ will allow fans to view two locations at once so they will be able to compare sight lines from different seats at the same time.

Fans should visit as often as they want to familiarize themselves with the views from different seat locations because a variation of the Virtual Venue™ tool will be utilized when the seat selection process for the renovated Pauley Pavilion begins. As seats are selected for purchase by Bruin fans, those locations will change colors so subsequent selectors will know those seats are no longer part of the available inventory.

An added feature of the site is the ability for users to use an IM function to ask questions and receive answers from Central Ticket Office employees in real time during the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We certainly hope you enjoy viewing the virtual interior of New Pauley with the Virtual Venue™ tool. If you have questions regarding Wooden Athletic Fund or Campaign of Champion donation levels, please email us at: development@athletics.ucla.edu.
