BOULDER, Colo. - Senior Tabi Love had 17 kills and just one error in 25 attempts for a .640 hitting percentage, senior Rachael Kidder added 12 kills and sophomore Zoë Nightingale posted 10 kills, as the sixth-ranked Bruins recorded a 25-15, 25-22, 25-12 sweep at Colorado on Friday at the Coors Events Center.

The Bruins improve to 19-5 overall and 11-4 in Pac-12 play, while the Buffaloes fall to 14-13 and 4-11 in league action.

Freshman Becca Strehlow had 44 assists, seven digs, three blocks and three kills, setting the Bruins to a season-best .530 hitting percentage. Junior Mariana Aquino was 5-for-8 in kills (.625) with no errors, while senior Bojana Todorovic added nine digs.

The Bruins never trailed in winning the opening set. Tied at two, UCLA scored five in a row on a Love kill, a combo block by Nightingale and Strehlow, back-to-back Colorado attack errors and a Nightingale kill to go up 7-2. With the Bruins up 9-5, a 6-1 run made it 15-6. A Kidder kill and consecutive Colorado attack errors made it 12-5. After a CU sideout, kills from junior Kelly Reeves and Nightingale and a Buffs attack error put the Bruins up by nine.

UCLA's largest lead of the set was 10 on several occasions. Love's team-leading seventh kill of the set finished off a 25-15 victory. Aquino and Nightingale each added three kills. Strehlow posted five digs, as the Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .552 to .200.

The second set featured 16 ties and seven lead changes, as UCLA's largest advantage was three and Colorado's was two. With the Bruins leading 12-10, the Buffaloes scored three in a row to take a 13-12 edge. Colorado raised its advantage to a set-best two at 17-15, but UCLA came back with five in a row on an Aquino kill, an Aquino/Love combo block, a Colorado attack error, an ace by junior Meg Norton and a Love kill to put the visitors on top 20-17.

With UCLA leading 21-18, Colorado netted the next three to tie the score at 21. Two sideouts later, a Love kill and a Colorado attack error gave the Bruins set point and another Colorado miscue clinched a 25-22 victory. Love again led the Bruins with six kills, while Kidder and Nightingale added four apiece, as the Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .500 to .370.

Like the first set, the Bruins led wire-to-wire to finish off the sweep. Tied at one, five in a row for the Bruins on a kill by Nightingale, a combo block by Nightingale and Strehlow, back-to-back Colorado attack errors and a Nightingale kill made it 6-1. Up 11-6, a 5-1 run put the Bruins on top 16-7. Love had three straight kills, and after a Colorado sideout, a Love kill and an attack error by the Buffaloes made it a nine-point difference.

Following another sideout, a 4-0 run on two kills apiece by Strehlow and Kidder extended the margin to a dozen at 20-8. The lead remained in double figures for the rest of the set, as the Bruins scored the last three points of the match on a kill by Kidder, an Aquino/Reeves combo block and a kill by freshman Maddy Klineman to post a 25-12 victory. Kidder led the way in the third with six kills, Love added four and Nightingale posted three. Todorovic recorded five digs, as the Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .533 to .133.

The Bruins finish their four-match road trip on Saturday at Utah at 6 p.m. PT. The contest will be streamed live via Pac-12 Digital. Links will be available at UCLABruins.com.
