Track & Field Continues Indoor Season at Bronco Classic

The men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Nampa, ID this Saturday to compete in the Bronco Classic as the indoor season continues. The meet features multiple teams including the Bruins, Boise State, Washington, Utah State, Nevada and Fresno State. The Bronco Classic will also give the Bruins an opportunity to compete at the same facility in which the NCAA Indoor Championships will be held on March 9-10.

Events begin at 9:00 am in the field with the women's high jump, while running events get underway at 10:10 am.

All event groups will be in action this Saturday for both squads. Heading into this weekend's competition, several Bruins currently rank in the top 25 of the NCAA. Below is a list of athletes and their ranks.


  • Dustin Fay - 3000m, 22ndT (8:01.99)
  • Mike Woepse - Pole Vault, 11th (17-6.50)
  • Alec Faldermeyer - Weight Throw, 8th (67-6.25)


  • Allison Koressel - Pole Vault, 12thT (13-5.75)
  • Ida Storm - Weight Throw, 11th (66-7.25)

    Faldermeyer is undefeated this season in the weight throw with wins at the Fresno State "Run for the Dream" Invite and the Cougar Indoor. Woepse has one win under his belt in his only competition this season (Cougar Indoor), while Koressel and Storm also have one victory apiece, both coming at the Cougar Indoor.
