Senior Tracy Lin (Anaheim Hills, CA/Canyon HS) of the UCLA women's tennis team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week (Apr. 14-20).
Lin won the deciding singles match in UCLA's 5-2 victory over No. 10 USC on Friday, helping the Bruins earn their first-ever Pac-10 Championship. Lin, ranked No. 32 nationally, defeated 90th-ranked Gabriela Niculescu, 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 singles position. She also picked up a huge win in doubles with partner Riza Zalameda, as the duo defeated fifth-ranked Amanda Fink/Niculescu, 8-6, at the No. 1 position. Lin and Zalameda are currently the nation's No. 2 ranked doubles team.
This is Lin's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
