LOS ANGELES - Members of the UCLA men's and women's tennis teams are in action at a pair of separate tournaments this week. The women are in Arizona taking part in the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, while the men are playing locally at the Southern California Intercollegiates.
The Bruin women have three freshmen competing in Arizona, with Carling Seguso, Nina Pantic and Alexandria Walters all entered in the 32-player singles draw. Seguso opens up play against Michigan's Rika Tatsuno on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Walters will face Utah's Anastasia Putilina at 11:00 a.m., while Pantic will face Kari Wig of Michigan at 11:00 a.m.
Pantic and Walters will also be playing doubles in Arizona. Instead of a traditional draw, the duo will play one match each day against pre-determined opponents.

All four players are in different quarters of the draw, meaning that they could occupy the four semifinal spots with wins on Friday.
In doubles, Inbar is teaming with Ahmed Ismail, and Brooklyn is partnering with Meister.
