INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The 200 Freestyle Relay team of juniors Kathryn Murphy and Ting Quah, freshman Katie Kinnear and sophomore Jessica Khojasteh got the Bruins off to a great at the NCAA Championships, breaking the school record on day one of the event.

In the very first swim for the Bruins at the IUPUI Natatorium, the Bruin quartet shaved .01 off the school record in the 200 Free Relay, which the same four broke at USC on Feb. 16. After going 1:30.16 a month ago at USC, the Bruins swam a 1:30.15 on Thursday to qualify for the B final, which they finished 16th in with a mark of 1:30.75. Next up was the 500 Freestyle, as junior Lauren Baker swam a time of 4:45.03 to place 32nd.

Three Bruins swam in the 200 Individual Medley, with junior Anna Senko posting the best time, placing 21st with a mark of 1:58.09, which was just .02 shy of her career high. Senior Andrea Reigel was 32nd at 1:58.88, while sophomore Noelle Tarazona was 38th with a personal-best 1:59.31.

Quah was 28th in the 50 Free with a time of 22.54, while Murphy was 51st at 23.05. In Thursday's diving event, sophomore Emma Ivory-Ganja placed 29th with a 266.30 in the One-Meter.

On Friday, the Bruins will take part in four of day two's seven events. The 400 Individual Medley will feature four Bruins, Baker, Reigel, Senko and Tarazona. The 400 IM is followed by the 100 Butterfly, with senior Stephanie Christofferson hitting the pool with Quah.

Ivory-Ganja is back in action with the Three-Meter prelims, which will be followed by the 800 Freestyle Relay finals. The 400 IM, 100 Fly and Three-Meter finals start at 4 p.m. PT.
