LOS ANGELES - UCLA will host the 2010 SoCal Tournament this weekend, using pools at Spieker Aquatics Center and Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. The No. 2-ranked Bruins open their schedule Saturday morning against No. 17 Princeton at 8:30 a.m. (Spieker Aquatics Center).
The annual tournament features all nine Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) teams, in addition to five other teams from California (Concordia, LMU, Redlands, Santa Clara and UC San Diego) and two teams from the East Coast (Princeton, St. Francis).
All-session ticket packages cost $35. Single-day tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for youth. One ticket allows admission to games at either of UCLA's two pools.
Matches will begin at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center on Saturday at 8 a.m., while games at Spieker Aquatics Center will start by 8:30 a.m. Each pool will host eight games each day - four in the morning and four in the afternoon.
UCLA enters the tournament sporting a 5-1 record. The Bruins went 3-1 at the NorCal Tournament two weeks ago, earning a second-place finish after losing to USC in the championship match, 11-10.
