BERKELEY, Calif. - The No. 4 UCLA men's water polo team defeated No. 7 UC Santa Barbara, 15-8, in the MPSF Tournament's fifth-place game Sunday afternoon. Junior Krsto Sbutega and sophomore Scott Davidson each recorded three goals to pace the Bruins, who finished their 2007 campaign with a 21-7 overall record.

The Bruins received goals from 10 players, as senior Marco Santos netted two goals and classmates Justin Johnson and Cameron Smith scored once in their final collegiate game.

With the contest tied, 3-3, after the first quarter, UCLA outscored UC Santa Barbara (19-14) through the final three periods by a 12-5 margin. The Bruins led 8-5 at halftime and blanked the Gauchos, 4-0, in the third quarter. Each team tallied three goals in the final quarter.
