Each week, uclabruins.com will update and highlight select UCLA players' progress during the current MLS season. Games highlighted are from Sept. 3-9. The Bruins lead all universities with 23 alumni in MLS.

Tony Beltran (Real Salt Lake; Years played at UCLA: 2006-07)
Beltran started and played all 90 minutes in defense as Real Salt Lake fell to the Houston Dynamo, 1-0, on Friday. He did not record a statistic in the match.

Kamani Hill (Colorado Rapids; Years played at UCLA: 2004-05)
Kamani Hill came on as a substitute and notched his second assist of the year in the Rapids' 3-0 win over Portland on Wednesday. He came on in the 73rd minute for Martin Rivero and assisted on Jaime Castrillon's goal in the 86th minute, sending a corner kick into the box that was eventually headed in by Castrillon. Overall, Hill played 17 minutes in the match.

Patrick Ianni (Seattle Sounders FC; Years played at UCLA: 2003-05)
Patrick Ianni started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Seattle's 2-1 win over Chivas USA on Saturday. It was Ianni's 14th start of the year.
Sounders record: 13-6-8, 47 points, 2nd place in Western Conference

Matt Reis (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 1994-97)
Reis made three saves and recorded his second consecutive shutout as New England defeated Columbus 2-0 on Wednesday. Reis has now tallied six shutouts on the year and 87 saves, good for fourth best in all of MLS.
Revolution record: 7-14-7, 28 points, 8th place in Eastern Conference

Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake; Years played at UCLA: 1997-99)
Nick Rimando made three saves in Real Salt Lake's 1-0 loss to Houston on Friday. He faced 11 total shots in the match. Rimando currently has 10 shutouts on the year, tied for second best in all of MLS, and has made 66 saves.

Rose came back from injury and played 15 minutes in the Sounders' 2-1 victory over Chivas USA on Saturday. He came on for Steve Zakuani in the 75th minute and did not record a statistic in the match.

Kelyn Rowe (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 2010-11)
Rowe started and played 89 minutes at midfielder in New England's 2-0 win over the Columbus Crew on Wednesday. He recorded two shots in the match before being subbed off for Fernando Cardenas in the 89th minute.

Marvell Wynne (Colorado Rapids; Years played at UCLA: 2004-05)
Marvell Wynne started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Colorado's 3-0 win over Portland on Wednesday. He did not record a statistic in the match, but has now started and played all 90 minutes in 14 consecutive matches for Colorado. Wynne and the rest of the Rapids defense also held the Timbers to just nine attempts on goal as Colorado earned its seventh shutout of the season.
