UCLA alumna Tiffany Joh won the Duramed Futures Tour Qualifying Tournament Friday afternoon in Winterhaven, Fla.
Joh won her Futures Tour card and $500 after posting scores of 67-69-72-67-73--348 (-12) in a 90-hole, four-course marathon. She won by one stroke over Danielle Mills of Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
Former UCLA All-American Maria Jose Uribe also earned her Futures Tour card, finishing in a tie for 38th place with scores of 71-76-68-78-76--369 (+9).
A two-time U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links champion, Joh enjoyed an illustrious career at UCLA. She won the 2008 Pac-10 title and was voted the 2007 Pac-10 Golfer of the Year. She was UCLA's first four-time All-American in women's golf.
The victory means Joh earns fully exempt status on the 2010 Duramed Futures Tour. She can set her schedule as she wishes and will not have to endure any pre-tournament qualifiers.
