Stanford, Calif. - UCLA's Courtney Dolehide and Andrea Remynse got off to a good start in the doubles draw at the NCAA Championships on Thursday afternoon, posting a straight-set first-round win at Stanford's Taube South Courts.

The Bruin tandem, which is ranked 23rd nationally, downed William & Mary's Anik Cepeda and Hope Johnson, 6-2, 6-3. The win sets up a round of 16 showdown against Linda Abu Meshrefova and Nida Hamilton of Northwestern on Friday (time TBA). UCLA's Noelle Hickey and McCall Jones were not as fortunate as their teammates, suffering a 6-2, 7-6(4) loss to Tennessee's Brynn Boren and Natalie Pluskota.

Hickey also lost in singles on Thursday, as she fell in the second round to Florida's Lauren Embree, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.

The UCLA men concluded play at the NCAA Championships this afternoon, as the Bruins saw both of their singles players and one doubles team lose. Daniel Kosakowski lost to top-seeded Steve Johnson of USC, 6-2, 6-1, while Amit Inbar fell to USC freshman Ray Sarmiento, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5. Both losses came in the second round.

In doubles, Alex Brigham and Adrien Puget won the first set against Michigan's Jason Jung and Kevin King but couldn't hold on, falling 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 in the opening round.
