A lot has happened in Pauley Pavilion since the building was turned over to PCL, the project's contractor, on April 1.
The entire wood floor has been dismantled. The center circle, the two Nell and John Wooden Court insignias and the Pac-10 logos have been removed intact and will be preserved for future exhibits in New Pauley. The remainder of the wood flooring is stacked on the concrete foundation ready to be taken out of the venue.
In addition, the intermediate concrete steps in the middle and upper levels have been jack-hammered out and within the next week, the retractable bleachers will be removed.
All of the rooms within the building have been `demolished' - everything right down to the walls has been removed. Earlier in the week, all of the seats were removed from the facility.
By the end of next week, the scoreboards will be removed. On the outside of Pauley, the northern addition concrete is being completed and new steel structure will appear in early May.
