This is the 115th meeting between UCLA and Washington State with the Bruins leading the series 100-14 (.877). UCLA is 53-2 (.964) against the Cougars in Los Angeles and has won 36 of the last 38 overall meetings. UCLA won last year's meeting in Pauley Pavilion 80-71 in the Pac-10 opener for both teams on Dec. 29, 2010. Reeves Nelson led a quartet of Bruins in double figures with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Lazeric Jones also had a double-double of 10 points and a career-high 11 assists. Malcolm Lee also scored 21 points for the Bruins while Tyler Honeycutt added 14 points and nine rebounds. Klay Thompson scored a game-high 26 points for the Cougars. UCLA escaped Pullman, Wash., with a 63-60 victory earlier this year (Feb. 4). Joshua Smith led the Bruins with 19 points while David Wear and Lazeric Jones each scored 15. Brock Motum had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds for WSU. Head Coach Ben Howland is 16-2 against the Cougars, and 6-2 in Los Angeles.

CHARTING COACH HOWLAND
Ben Howland earned his 300th victory of his career with the 72-54 win over DePaul in the 15th Annual John R. Wooden Classic (Dec. 13, 2008). He is currently 373-194 (.658), which ranks 35th on the winningest active coaches list by percentage and 50th on the active list by victories. Howland's first career victory was his first game at Northern Arizona in 1994, a 71-69 victory over New Mexico Highlands. His 100th career victory came in his second season at Pittsburgh in the 77-65 win at home over Seton Hall (Jan. 13, 2001). His 200th win came in his third season at UCLA with the 56-37 home win over Delaware State (Nov. 19, 2005). Howland is 19-9 (.679) in the NCAA Tournament (15-6 (.714) at UCLA).

COACH HOWLAND HITS MILESTONES
Head Coach Ben Howland attained his 200th career victory at UCLA with the win over Utah (Jan. 26, 2012) and currently sits at 205-96 (.681) in his ninth season at the helm of the Bruins. With the win over Eastern Washington (Dec. 14), Howland passed Jim Harrick for second place on the all-time UCLA career victories list. Harrick posted a 192-62 record in his eight seasons (1988-89 to 1995-96) as the Bruins' mentor. Coach John R. Wooden is the all-time leader at 620-147 (.808) in his 27 seasons (1948-49 to 1974-75).

BRUINS' INJURY REPORT
At this point in the season (Feb. 29), the UCLA Bruins are the healthiest they have been without any major injuries holding anyone out of practice or competition.

JONES LEADING UCLA
Senior point guard Lazeric Jones had his career-best eight straight games in double figures snapped in the loss at Cal (Dec. 31). He has scored in double figures in 16 of the last 22 games. The Bruins are 14-8 in the last 22 contests after starting the season 2-5. In the last 22 games, Jones has averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals while shooting 44.8 percent (108-for-241) from the field and 39.0 percent (32-for-82) from three-point range.

TWIN PEAKS
The Wear twins (David and Travis) have scored in double figures in the same game 10 times this season and they have done so in eight of the last 18 contests. Additionally, they both posted double-doubles in the home win over USC (Feb. 15) with David registering 16 points and a career-high 13 rebounds and Travis recording 14 points and a then-career-high 11 boards. In the last 16 games, Travis has averaged 12.6 points while David is averaging 12.2 points per game. David has shot 54.7 percent from the floor (75-for-137) while making 62.5 percent (10-for-16) of his three-point shots and draining 35-for-45 (.778) from the free-throw line.
