Los Angeles, Calif. - Junior forward Chandler Hoffman and sophomore midfielder Kelyn Rowe have each signed Generation Adidas contracts with Major League Soccer and will forego their remaining eligibility at UCLA. Hoffman and Rowe will join fellow UCLA seniors Andy Rose, Eder Arreola, Brian Rowe and Shawn Singh at the Adidas MLS Combine from Jan. 6-10 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The MLS SuperDraft will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 9 am PT in Kansas City, Mo. and will be broadcast live on ESPN2.

Hoffman, a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, finished his junior year tied for fourth nationally in both goals (18) and points scored (42). He also tied UCLA records for consecutive games with a goal and multiple goal games, scoring in five straight games and tallying four multiple goal games. In addition, Hoffman earned third-team All-American and first first-team All-Far West Region honors from the NSCAA and was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection this season after leading the conference in goals and points. He also was named a first-team All-American by Soccer America in 2011. Hoffman finishes his UCLA career with 29 goals, nine assists and 67 points in 54 games played.

Kelyn Rowe became the fourth UCLA player all-time to be named Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2011 and led the conference in assists with 10. His 10 assists also put him in a tie for eighth nationally. In addition, Rowe earned second-team All-America acclaim from Soccer America this season after being named to their All-Freshman team in 2010. Rowe was also coming off of being named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year last season. This offseason, Rowe made his camp debut with the U.S. U-23 National Team after earning six caps on the U.S. U-20 squad. He finishes his UCLA career with totals of 13 goals, 20 assists and 46 points in 46 games played.

"First and foremost, I am very proud of Chandler and Kelyn," Head Coach Jorge Salcedo said. "They have worked very hard to achieve and receive this outstanding opportunity, and we wish them nothing but the best in MLS. While our program will definitely miss their contributions on and off the field, we are excited and look forward to seeing some of our current players excel with the opportunity to fill vital roles in the 2012 season."

Players who join MLS as part of the Generation Adidas program receive unprecedented opportunities to develop their game and hone their skills at the professional level in Major League Soccer. In addition to training and playing with one of Major League Soccer's 19 professional clubs, Generation Adidas players receive educational grants to further their college education. Generation Adidas players do not count against an MLS team's salary budget.

UCLA currently has 20 alumni playing in the MLS and has produced 58 players in the league's 16 year history, both more than any other school in the nation.
