LOS ANGELES - UCLA women's tennis players Robin Anderson and McCall Jones each won two qualifying singles matches on Tuesday to come within one win of advancing to the main draw at the 2011 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships at the Riviera Country Club.
Anderson opened the day with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Princeton's Hillary Bartlett. She followed that up with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over 11th-seeded Tayler Davis from Cal. If Anderson can beat South Carolina's eighth-seeded Anya Morgina, she will earn a spot in Thursday's main draw.
Jones, who is seeded No. 14, also notched a pair of straight-set wins on Tuesday, beginning the day with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Iowa's Sonja Molnar. She then downed Georgia Tech's Christina Ngo, 6-3, 6-4, setting up a third-round meeting with fifth-seeded Mary Anne Macfarlane of Alabama.

After upsetting 16th-seeded Keri Wong of Clemson in the first round, Montez was ousted by Georgia's Maho Kowase, 6-2, 6-2.
