This afternoon, UCLA legendary former basketball coach John Wooden was released from a local hospital and has returned to his home. Coach Wooden, 98, was admitted to the hospital on February 13 with a case of pneumonia.
"He is settling in and is happy to be back in his own home," said Nan Muehlhausen, Coach Wooden's daughter. "Dad is doing well, but he still needs plenty rest. The family is asking that people not call or come to visit at this time."
Earlier this month, Coach Wooden's family requested that fans no longer mail or ship items to Coach Wooden for his signature.
