LEXINGTON, Ky. - Seniors Tabi Love and Rachael Kidder were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Pacific Region Team on Tuesday. Love earned First Team honors, while Kidder was named to the Honorable Mention squad.
Love receives her first-career, All-Region honor after leading the Bruins in kills (4.51) and points (4.94) per set. Love had double figures in kills in 29 of 31 matches this season, leading the team in kills in a match 21 times. The senior surpassed the 20-kill plateau nine times and also had a pair of double-doubles.
Kidder was named All-Region for the second year in a row after earning First Team honors in 2011. Kidder was second on the squad with 3.98 kps and 4.49 pps. She had 27 matches with at least 10 kills and a pair with over 20. The senior added four double-doubles, leading the Bruins in kills in 13 contests.
The two awards are the 53rd and 54th AVCA All-Region honors in UCLA history, while Love's accolade is the Bruins' 41st First Team honor.
