Michael Roll reruptured his plantar fascia in his left foot on Dec. 31 and will be out for the next two weeks.

SERIES vs. ARIZONA STATE
This is the 69th meeting between UCLA and Arizona State with the Bruins leading the series 54-14. UCLA is 28-5 all-time against ASU in Los Angeles and has won the last six overall meetings. The Bruins erased a 10-point deficit with under 10 minutes remaining in last year's meeting in Pauley Pavilion to win 67-61. Arron Afflalo and Darren Collison led all scorers with 24 and 18 points, respectively. Lorenzo Mata-Real was the only other Bruin to reach double figures with 10 points. Jeff Pendergraph led the Sun Devils with 14 points. Allen Morill added 11 points while Jerren Shipp chipped in 10 points. UCLA head coach Ben Howland sports an 8-4 record against Arizona State while ASU head coach Herb Sendek is 0-2 against UCLA.

LOVE EARNS THIRD PAC-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
UCLA center Kevin Love was named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 21 - 27.

Love, a freshman from Lake Oswego, Ore., led the Bruins to two road wins last week at Oregon and Oregon State. In the 80-75 win against the Ducks, Love scored 26 points and broke his own UCLA record with 18 rebounds. He made 8-of-11 (.727) shots from the field, including both three-pointers he attempted. At Oregon State, Love scored 16 points and improved his total rebounding record to 21, becoming the first Bruin to record more than 20 rebounds in a game in more than 30 years. The Bruins went on to defeat the Beavers 85-62.

In the games last week, Love recorded his 10th and 11th double-doubles of the year and averaged 21.0 points and 19.5 rebounds per game. He also shot 63.6 percent (14-for-22) from the field and 50.0 (2-for-4) from three-point range.

This is the third weekly honor for Love and UCLA's 48th Player of the Week all-time.

LOVE SETS REBOUNDING MARK, AGAIN
Kevin Love grabbed a season-high 21 rebounds to go along with his 16 points in the win at Oregon State (Jan. 26, 2008). The 21 boards were the most rebounds by a freshman in UCLA history (since freshmen became eligible to play varsity in 1972-73). The 21 rebounds were also the most by a Bruin since January 6, 1978, when David Greenwood grabbed 23 in a 79-60 win at Washington.

SHIPP SCORES 1,000TH POINT
Josh Shipp became the 47th player in UCLA history to score 1,000 points in a career at California (Jan. 5, 2008). Shipp now has 1,063 career points.

WHAT'S WITH THE "C"?
Several Bruin teams will be wearing special jerseys or patches in 2007-08 to commemorate UCLA being the First to 100 NCAA Championships. The men's basketball team will don the new jerseys that have a different-colored "C" in UCLA. The "C" signifies the Roman numeral for 100.
