Prior to the UCLA-UC Santa Barbara conference quarterfinal playoff match on Sat., Apr. 21 at UCSB's Robertson Gym, the UCLA men's volleyball program landed three players on various 2007 All-MPSF teams.
Ker, a junior, ranked second in the league this season in digs per game (2.43). As a freshman in 2005, he was selected to the first-team; last year he was voted onto the third-team. Ker has earned All-America honors the last two seasons, and last year was voted the national Defensive MVP by Volleyball. Ker also ranks second all-time on the UCLA career digs charts with 843 prior to Saturday's quarterfinal playoff match.
Klosterman, a senior, was an honorable mention selection as a freshman and junior. This season, he leads the Bruins in kills, kills per game and points, and ranks among UCLA's career leaders in all three categories as well as aces. Last year, Klosterman was voted Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament, the 17th UCLA player to earn that honor.
George, the Bruins' senior captain, was an integral player in last year's national championship run. This season, he leads the Bruins in aces and ranks second in kills and points. On defense, he is one of the Bruins' primary passers, and ranks third in digs per game (1.35).
The conference also announced the results of its MPSF Men's Volleyball 15th Anniversary Teams. With nine selections, UCLA led the balloting.
