Junior Georgea Richards stands in fourth-place on day one of the heptathlon Northridge Spring Break Heptathlon competition with a four event score of 2,895 points.
Richards opened the day with a season-best run of 25.67 in the 200m (826 points). She then followed that up with another season-best, this time in the 100m hurdles, running 14.69 (883 points).
In the high jump, Richards cleared 5-0.25 for 655 points and ended the day with a toss of 32-10.50 in the shot put (531 points) for a score of 2,895 points.
Competition continues on Friday with the final three events of the heptathlon - the long jump, javelin and 800m. The Northridge Invitational will also begin on Friday and run through Saturday as a large group of Bruin athletes will compete.
