The Longhorns got on the board in the top of the third when Courtney Craig hit a two-out home run to left field to make it 1-0.
The Bruins used some long balls of their own to score four in the bottom of the fourth. UCLA evened the score at one when Langenfeld launched her sixth of the season to left-center with one out. DiSalvatore then reached on an infield single and Camuso gave the Bruins the lead with her sixth homer of the season to left-center to make it 3-1. One out later, Dolan hit her first collegiate home run to right to put UCLA up 4-1.
UCLA mounted a two-out rally in the fifth. Andrea Harrison singled to right, Langenfeld walked and DiSalvatore belted her third homer of the year down the right-field line to make it 7-1.
The Bruins invoked the mercy rule for the ninth time this season in the sixth. With one out, sophomore Dani Yudin doubled down the left-field line, as freshman Devon Lindvall re-entered to pinch-run. Freshman B.B. Bates followed with a single up the middle to plate Lindvall to make it 8-1, as Bates advanced to second on the throw home. One out later, Andrea Harrison ended things with a single to right to score Bates and end the game with a 9-1 victory.
The Bruins are back in action on Saturday when they face Baylor at 3 p.m. and #22 Northwestern at 8 p.m. Gametracker will be available for both games at UCLABruins.com.
