Allie Bohannon led the Bruin women on day one of the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, AR as the sophomore finished third in the championship section of the mile running a lifetime-best 4:41.42. Her time was just 1.42 seconds shy of an NCAA automatic qualifier and kept her ranked amongst the top-10 in the nation. Her performance today shaved two seconds off her previous lifetime-best, 4:43.43, set in Seattle, WA two weeks ago at the Washington Invitational.

Also competing in the mile, seniors Ashley Caldwell and Allison Hall both ran season-best times as Caldwell finished second (4:51.59) in the college section and Hall was 12th (4:59.63).

In the championship section of the pole vault, senior Jacqueline Nguyen jumped a season-best 12-6.75 to finish in a tie for ninth-place.

Junior Renee Williams finished 15th overall in the championship section of the long jump with a mark of 19-0.75, while junior Leslie Rychel was third in the regular section with a leap of 19-1.50.
