Afflalo led UCLA to big wins against USC (90-69) and at Notre Dame (75-65), averaging 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals. Afflalo made 11 of 13 (.786) shots from the floor, including five of six (.833) from three-point range. He was also 12 of 17 (.706) from the free throw line. He led the Bruins in scoring in both games and in rebounding vs. USC. In the win over USC, he had career highs of 22 points (7-8, 2-3, 6-9) and nine rebounds and added two assists and one steal in 23 minutes while doing a fine defensive job on Gabe Pruitt. In the win at Notre Dame, he led the Bruins with 17 points (4-5, 3-3, 6-8) and added four rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block while hounding Chris Thomas into a 4-17 shooting day.
