Men's Tennis Players Head to ITA Regionals

LOS ANGELES - Members of the UCLA men's tennis team will be in action this week, as the team heads down to UC Irvine for the 2010 USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championships, Oct. 21-25.

A total of nine Bruin players are entered in the singles draw, led by No. 2 seed Nick Meister. Four other UCLA players are seeded, including Amit Inbar (#8), Daniel Kosakowski (#9), Alex Brigham (#17) and Clay Thompson (#17).

Inbar and Meister are the top-seeded duo in the 64-team doubles draw. Also seeded is the Bruin tandem of Kosakowski and Thompson (#7). The two other UCLA teams competing are Jeff Gast/Maxime Tabatruong and Brigham/Warren Hardie.

The singles and doubles champions from the NCAA Division I USTA/ITA Regional Championships will advance to the 2010 USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, November 4-7 at the new indoor facilities at the USTA-Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, located in Flushing, New York. Columbia University will serve as the tournament host.
