March 1, 2004

At the 2004 Pac-10 Championships, Arnold was a key contributor to UCLA's runner-up finish. On the first day of competition, Arnold led off UCLA's 200 Medley Relay, which placed third in a school record 1:40.88. She placed ninth in the 50 Free with a time of 23.34 and second in the 100 Back in a school record 53.75, breaking the previous record of 54.04 set by Kristin Heydanek a decade ago. In the 200 Back, the closest race of the meet, Arnold placed second and broke the school freshman record in 1:56.44. Only .03 seconds separated her from the first place spot. Arnold individually contributed 76 of UCLA's 1,329 points. The Bruins finished second behind team champion Stanford by just51 points.
