The top-ranked UCLA women's golf team completed the fall season with its fourth consecutive runner-up result, capturing second place at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate on Oahu's North Shore.
The Bruins, chasing UC Davis, posted a team score of 296 (+8) in the final round for a 54-hole total of 877 (+13) and finished nine strokes off the pace. The Aggies won the event with a score of 868 (+4). USC placed third at 879 (+15) and Cal was fourth at 881 (+17). Oregon finished fifth at 896 (+32).
UCLA sophomore All-American Stephanie Kono took fourth place at two-under par 214 after posting a final round score of 76 (+4). Freshman Tiffany Lua tied for fifth place at even par 216, following an even par 72 on Wednesday. Junior All-American Glory Yang finished at 222 (+6) and tied for 16th, and sophomore Brianna Do tied for 24th at 226 (+10) following a round of even par 72. Junior Lalita Boonnoppornkul tied for 70th at 237 (+21) after carding an 81 (+9) in the final round. Freshman Stacy Kim tied for 58th at 234 (+18), playing as an unattached competitor.
USC's Lizette Salas won the event with a three-round total of 208 (-8) after posting a 70 (-2) in the final round.
