LOS ANGELES - UCLA head baseball coach John Savage will appear live on 790 KABC-AM radio with college baseball personality Rob Buska this evening at 9:15. Savage's UCLA squad earned a No. 1 preseason ranking from Baseball America last Tuesday.

Buska, who serves as the Long Beach State baseball team's play-by-play broadcaster after having spent four seasons as the voice of Cal State Fullerton baseball, will host Savage on his radio program at 9:15 after speaking with Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki at 8:45 p.m.

In his last two seasons at UCLA, Savage has guided the Bruins to consecutive NCAA Regional appearances. Last season, UCLA advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time since 2000 after sweeping the Long Beach Regional. The Bruins finished their 2007 campaign ranked No. 22 nationally by Baseball America.

The UCLA baseball team hosts its Alumni Game on Saturday, Feb. 16, before opening its regular season against Oklahoma on Friday, Feb. 22 at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.

KABC-AM, a talk radio station, will serve as the home for Los Angeles Dodgers baseball in 2008.
