WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Beau Amaral of the UCLA baseball team has earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors for the week of March 19-25, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Amaral batted .700 in two games for UCLA over the weekend, going 7-for-10 with one home run, two doubles, six runs and three RBI.

Amaral went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and three runs in UCLA's 12-3 win against Washington State on Friday night. He pounded out a career-high five hits on Saturday, going 5-for-6 with two doubles and three runs as the Bruins cruised past the Cougars, 12-3.

UCLA's game against Washington State on Sunday was postponed to Monday afternoon (1 p.m.) due to rain.

Amaral, a junior center fielder from Huntington Beach, Calif., becomes UCLA's third Pac-12 Player of the Week selection this season. Jeff Gelalich has earned the award twice. In addition, Adam Plutko and Grant Watson have each captured Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week honors.

UCLA completes its three-game series against Washington State on Monday at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Game time is 1 p.m. The Bruins will play a three-game Pac-12 series at Utah, beginning Friday, March 30.
