UCLA Begins Bye Week Work

Coach Mora addresses media after Tuesday's practice

The Bruins took the field early this morning and began work during the bye week. It was a good start to the week on the new turf and grass surfaces at Spaulding Field. UCLA will play next on Oct. 27, at 24th-ranked Arizona State. That game will kickoff at Noon PT and will be televised on FX.

Some Bruin notes from the NFL's sixth weekend- Arizona - DL David Carter saw action for the Cardinals; Carolina - PK Justin Medlock had a bye week , Cleveland - LS Christian Yount saw action; Denver - WR Matthew Willis saw action for the Broncos Rahim Moore started at free safety and had three tackles; Indianapolis - LB Justin Hickman saw action for the Colts and recorded two tackles; Jacksonville - RB Maurice Jones-Drew visited campus during their bye week, TE Marcedes Lewis was off this week with a bye; San Diego - OT Mike Harris started at left tackle for the Chargers; Tennessee - LB Akeem Ayers totaled six tackles, one for loss, for the Titans, CB Alterraun Verner added three stops ; Washington - TE Logan Paulsen saw action for the Redskins Kai Forbath kicked a 50-yard field in his first game with Washington; Minnesota - P Chris Kluwe kicked to a 50.5 yard average and placed both his punts inside the 20-yard line; New England - WR Matthew Slater made two special teams tackles for the Patriots.
