LOS ANGELES - The UCLA women's rowing program faces San Diego State in its second consecutive home meet on Sunday, March 13 in Marina del Rey, Calif. Last Saturday, UCLA won each of its races against Loyola Marymount.
The Bruins and Aztecs will feature four races on Sunday morning. The two programs' varsity eight crews will hit the water at 7:45 a.m. before the second varsity eight boats will race at 7:55 a.m. UCLA and San Diego State will race their varsity fours at 8:05 (with UCLA racing two crews), before the morning's events conclude at 8:15 a.m. with the novice eight race.
UCLA finished No. 12 nationally at the NCAA Championships in 2010 and seeks a second consecutive berth at the NCAA Championships this spring. Last season, UCLA opened its spring schedule with consecutive d ual-meet wins over Loyola Marymount and San Diego State.
Following Sunday morning's race, UCLA will return to the water the weekend of March 26 and 27. The Bruins compete against California on Saturday, March 26 and will face Stanford on Sunday, March 27. Both of those competitions will be hosted in Redwood Shores, Calif.
