Rosie Carreras enters her second season as team manager for the UCLA women's water polo team. Her organizational skills, spirit and encouragement were key to the Bruins' success of 2005. Carreras is a junior at UCLA and was a member of the team from 2003-2004 She redshirted the 2003 season, and in 2004, she had one goal and two steals as a driver.
At high school, Carreras was a four-year letter-winner under coach Bryan Schultz in water polo and a three-year letter-winner in swimming. She was part of the 2001-2002 MESA League championship team. Her honors include three-time all-league first team, and two-time all league Player of the Year. Carreras also competed with the 2001 Junior Olympic Medal team.
Carreras is involved in water polo because of a "genuine love of the game and attraction to a challenge." Currently she is a majoring in Political Science.
