UCLA - Jason enjoyed the best off-season of his career and made great strides during Spring Practice...Enters Fall camp in competition for the starting job at free safety and should earn substantial playing time during his senior year...Lowered his 40 time during the off-season conditioning program.

1999 - Played 17 defensive snaps in the secondary, all against Boise State...Credited with one tackle.

1998 - Saw limited action...Appeared in one game on the kickoff coverage unit.

1997 - Saw little action this season as a second-year freshman.

1996 - Did not appear in a game during his first year in the program.

HIGH SCHOOL - Lettered two seasons at Chaminade College Prep for coach Rich Lawson as a free safety and quarterback...Selected BlueChips Illustrated West Region honorable mention as a senior...Named second-team all-state by Cal-Hi Sports...Also selected CIF Division III as a DB...Named to the Daily News All-Valley first-team...Named first-team all-league, All-CIF, All-Southern Section, All-Valley, All-Area and Lifter of the Year in 1995...As a senior, he made eight interceptions...Rushed for 531 yards (7.6 average) and five touchdowns and passed for 941 yards and 15 touchdowns...In addition, he returned a punt 87 yards for a score …Also competed in track for coach Sumer and wrestling for coach Greg Behrens.
