JUNIOR COLLEGE — Played two seasons (1997 and 1998) for coach Carl Beach at Chaffey College, earning All-Foothill Conference honors as a sophomore … In 1998, he made 110 tackles, including 62 solo stops … He also caused five fumbles, recovered three and recorded 5.5 quarterback sacks … Chaffey won the Foothill Conference Northern Division.

HIGH SCHOOL — Earned three letters as a middle linebacker and tight end under coach Art Sanchez at Victor Valley High in Victorville, CA … As a senior in 1996, he made 158 solo tackles and three interceptions, forced eight fumbles and recovered three fumbles … He earned first-team All-Mojave River League and All-CIF acclaim for his efforts … He also earned four letters in soccer, three letters in golf and one letter in wrestling … In his senior year, the soccer team won the league title and advanced to the CIF semi-finals and he earned All-League honorable mention.
