UCLA - John is in his third year as a walk-on defensive back, having joined the team in the middle of the 1999 season...Also was a member of the team during the 1997 season...Possesses good speed ...Did not participate in Spring Practice because he was competing with the Bruin track team.

2000 TRACK - Enjoyed a successful season for the track squad...In the 400 intermediate hurdles, he finished second at the Pacific-10 Conference championships …In the NCAA meet, he ran a personal best 50.44, ninth-fastest in UCLA history, and was 0.01 second shy of qualifying for the finals in that event...Also ran the high hurdles during the regular season and had a team-best of 14.50. 1999 FOOTBALL - Joined the football team early in the season as a reserve defensive back...Appeared in four games...Played mostly on special teams, participating on the punt return and kickoff coverage units...Played 20 defensive snaps at Oregon State.

1999 TRACK - At the Pac-10 meet, Hall placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (52.46)...Ran a personal-best and team-leading 14.62 110-meter hurdles and a season-best 51.44 in the 400-meter hurdles.

1998 TRACK - Redshirted the collegiate season but ran unattached...His season-best 50.78 in the 400-meter hurdles ranked No. 39 in the U.S.

1997 FOOTBALL - In his first year at UCLA, Hall earned a spot on the team as a walk-on defensive back.

JUNIOR COLLEGE - In one year (1996-97) at Long Beach City College, he made 40 tackles and two interceptions...Also earned JC All-America honors in track, finishing second in the California State meet in the 400 intermediate hurdles and recorded a best of 50.73...Anchored LBCC’s 4x400-meter relay team that placed sixth at the State meet...At the U. S. Junior meet, Hall placed third in the hurdles...Selected LBCC’s Most Valuable Runner.

HIGH SCHOOL - Earned two varsity letters at Servite High School in Anaheim under coach Larry Tover...Started 28 games in two years, playing free safety and place kicker...As a senior, he earned first-team All-Golden West League honors with four interceptions...Also earned three letters in track, running the 110-meter high hurdles, the 330-meter intermediate hurdles and the 400 meters...As a senior, he placed second in the hurdles at the CIF and seventh at the Master’s meet...His top prep times were 50.00 in the 400 meters, 14.81 in the high hurdles and 37.81 in the intermediates.
