1999 - Appeared in the year’s first two games before being sidelined for the season due to tendinitis in his right heel...Was granted an additional year of eligibility for medical hardship...Started against both Boise State and Ohio State and made 13 tackles, including 12 primaries, but could not perform to his normal standards due to the heel problems ...Prior to Spring of 1999, he had off-season surgery to remove bone spurs in his right heel.

1998 -Bell started every game during his junior season...He led the squad with 14 passes defensed and made 38 tackles...Made a career-high eight tackles at California and added five stops versus Stanford and four each versus Houston, Oregon and Oregon State...He was credited with four passes defensed at Houston, three against USC and two versus Texas and Arizona...Bell played at least 70 defensive snaps on eight occasions, including 83 at Oregon State, 82 versus Oregon, 78 at Arizona, 77 at Houston and 73 on three occasions...He also played on the kickoff coverage, punt return and field goal block special teams units.

1997 - Started the final five regular-season games at right cornerback and finished the year with 18 tackles, all primaries...Also credited with four passes defensed...Made a career-high five stops against Oregon State and four at Stanford...Appeared in 11 of 12 games on defense and played at least 40 snaps on six occasions, including 64 versus OSU, 58 at Stanford, 48 versus Houston and 46 against Washington.
